Interview with V.W. Raynes, author of Twisted Venom

June 13, 2018

Title: Twisted Venom

Author: V. W. Raynes

Publisher: AuthorHouse

Genre: Suspense/Thriller

Format: Ebook

When young internist Claudia Ranelli attends a medical conference in San Francisco, she has a sexual encounter so bizarre and frightful it nearly kills her. But that isn't the end of her terror. Claudia and her cousin Dru Salinas must discover the identity of the person terrorizing them both, a quest that leads from pit vipers to modern genetics. Claudia tells a gripping story with sensitivity, a humanly scientific perspective, eroticism and a wry sense of humor.

Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what do you listen to?

No--I listen to the walls creaking, the wind blowing, the rain falling...

Do you have any suggestions for upcoming writers?

I'm still new at this myself. So far, it seems like a difficult field in which

to make a living.

What is it you like to do when you are not reading/writing?

I was going to say working, but I do a lot of reading and writing there

too...and looking through a microscope. I like tennis to get moving.

Is there an author/authors that have inspired you?

Quite a few. D. H. Lawrence, John Barth, Bran Stoker, Stephen King, to

name some.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A doctor

How do you/would you react to a bad review of your book?

I'd have a glass of wine...maybe two or three if it was really bad.

V. W. Raynes is the pen name of a physician practiciing in Texas
